"The Lateiner Gang" GETS Interviewed!! You Have to See This!!

Hey Guys and Gals, our friend Sheila from www.bookjourney.wordpress.com who runs one heck of a blog site interviewed US! Well, Sheila thought that the Gang had an interesting story and floored us by asking if she could have an interview and talk about our site. Check it out here and make sure that you check out the rest of Sheila's site also. She really trumps most of the other sites we have seen out there and puts her whole heart into making sure her followers are always engaged. Also, while you are checking things out, Sheila also introduced me to another site that is awesome, www.bookblogs.ning.com Here you can hang out with other bloggers, fellow readers, authors and just about anyone who loves reading and books.

We still plan to change things around on the site and go for that "face lift". We did work on it a bit today and came up with a few "technical difficulties", so it might take us a bit more time. It's too bad because our site looked really cool, but we lost most of the content, so we put it back to the norm. We are just going to fool around and hopefully real soon you guys will stop in one day and not know where you are! That is the goal....

As you all know, Dave mostly reads YA/Fiction/Fantasy, he was approached by an author who asked him if he would like to review his book that had recently come out titled, " A Circle of Souls". The author, Preetham Grandhi, also an M.D. and Child Psychiatrist, sent a copy of his book promptly after he agreed. Knowing in advance it was a thriller/murder mystery, Dave figured it wouldn't hurt to take a break from the norm and give it a try. Well, he got the book yesterday and had not planned to read it until next week. Having a few extra minutes while waiting for the 2 smaller members of The Lateiner Gang to get ready for dinner, he cracked it open just to get a glimpse of what was in store for him. The book ended up at the dinner table, on the couch, and then into the bed right along side him. For now, we will leave it at that, but once it is done, expect at least a review.

NOW GO READ OUR INTERVIEW AND SINCE IT IS SOOO HIGH UP IN THIS POST, HERE IT IS AGAIN The Lateiner Gang's Interview

  1. You guys crack me up! Thanks for the compliment but really this was fun for me too! I reently reviewed Circle fo Souls and I will be interested in reading your take on it. It is out of my normal reading as well and the first couple pages worried me a bit but the overall book was well... guess you will ahve to read it. :)

  2. Loved the interview! I wish my family were a matching set of bookworms. Instead, I'm the odd one out, reading books while the others cleave to their computers and televisions. Sometimes I want to hit my husband for passing on the wrong genes to my sons, but then I turn the page and forget what I was about to do. I've just barely discovered this site, but I already love coming here and sharing in your joy of books!

  3. A: I read your interview with Sheila (totally awesome!!!) and left a comment there before coming back to comment here. Having known you almost from the beginning, I'm genuinely impressed and proud of you guys for getting so far already! ^_^ Can't wait for you guys to do a role reversal so you can interview Sheila. =P

B: I also can't wait to see how your blog looks when you really fix it up. It looks cool now, but there's room for improvement.

C: Good luck deciding who reads Legacy. =P

Aside from this post, I just wanted to give some constructive feedback: I love reading Dave's posts and reviews, since I'm addicted to YA fantasy fiction myself, but I'm curious about the rest of the Gang. When are you going to put up more reviews? What's Sami reading at the moment?

Again, I offer my congratulations. ^,~ Now I think I'll check out that other site you linked to...

  4. Hi there:) I just saw your interview posted on Sheila's blog- you guys are awesome! I found your interview particularly interesting cause I'm starting something similar on my blog. I think our book reading preferences may be different different, but the family thing is a real similarity:) My site is a history/historical-fiction book blog mainly- but I've decided to add my daughter's reviews as well and made a section for it. She hasn't really posted anything yet- but I've introduced her.
If you'd like to come check out my site, go to:

and to see the section of children's review (the intro of it), go to: http://enchantedbyjosephine.blogspot.com/2009/08/book-moments-introducing-sophias-corner.html

    I'll be visiting often-Thanks:)

  5. I saw your interview on Sheila's blog and had to stop by to check out your blog! It's fantastic, and very admirable that there is such a love of reading within the children. I hope when I have kids someday, they share my love of reading. I look forward to reading more of your reviews :-)
